Ask for the Google review at the billing counter, in the minutes between payment and the customer walking out with their new phone. Keep an NFC + QR review stand facing the customer next to the card machine, so one tap opens your Google review box with no searching. Ask every customer the same way, and never offer a cover, cashback or discount for a review.
Why do phone buyers leave a review right after paying?
A mobile shop has an advantage no café or clinic has: the customer is literally holding a phone, often a brand-new one that your staff just set up with their Google account. They have spent a good amount of money, the box is on the counter, and they are in a good mood. If you ask for a review at that moment, and make it a two-second job, a lot of people will do it.
Wait until they are home and the mood changes. The phone becomes normal, the WhatsApp message with your review link gets buried, and the review never happens. The window is the five minutes between payment and walking out, while the bill prints and the accessories are being fitted.
A review stand at the counter does one thing: it removes the search-and-scroll steps. The customer taps their phone on the stand (or scans the QR) and the star-rating box for your shop opens straight away. No “search for the shop”, no “which listing is yours”, no typing.
Where should the review stand go in a mobile shop?
Put it where the customer waits, facing them, not facing your staff. Three spots work well in most mobile and electronics shops:
- Billing counter. The strongest spot. The customer stands here for the bill, the warranty card and the box. Place the stand right next to the card machine or UPI QR, where their eyes already go.
- Accessories and tempered-glass counter. Fitting a screen guard or a cover takes a few minutes and the customer just watches. A stand or a card here fills that idle time.
- Service and repair desk. When a repaired phone is handed back and the customer says thank you, that is a review moment. A Google Review Card works well here because the desk is often cluttered.
If you have floor staff who walk customers through models, give each of them a review card to keep in their shirt pocket. They can hold it out after the sale is closed, before the customer moves to billing.

What should your staff say at the counter?
One sentence, said with a smile, right after the payment goes through. Pick the language your customer is comfortable in.
English
“Sir, your phone is all set. If you are happy with the service, a Google review would help us a lot. Just tap your phone here, it takes two seconds.”
Hindi
“Sir, आपका फ़ोन तैयार है। अगर आपको हमारी सर्विस अच्छी लगी, तो Google पर एक review ज़रूर दीजिए। बस अपना फ़ोन यहाँ टच कीजिए, दो सेकंड लगेंगे।”
Hinglish
“Sir, phone set ho gaya. Agar service achhi lagi toh ek Google review de dijiye, bas phone yahan tap karna hai, do second lagenge.”
What should staff never say?
- Never “5 star de do”. Ask for an honest review and let the stars take care of themselves.
- Never offer a discount, a free cover, cashback or a lucky draw for a review. Google’s policy forbids rewards for reviews and can remove them or restrict your profile.
- Never take the customer’s phone and write the review yourself.
Ask every customer the same way. Google does not allow asking only the happy ones, so if a customer has a complaint, fix it first and then make the same ask. Our guide How to get more Google reviews for your shop covers replying to bad reviews and the full set of Google’s rules.
Which POP TAP product should a mobile shop buy?
Google Review Standee, ₹1,999. An acrylic counter stand with an NFC chip and a printed QR, programmed with your review link and printed with your artwork. For the billing counter, where it stays in one place and keeps working even when staff forget to ask.
Google Review Card, ₹999. A credit-card-size PVC card with NFC and QR, for the service desk, the accessories counter or a staff pocket. Easy to hold out, easy to put away.
Most mobile shops do best with one standee at billing and one or two cards for the floor and the service desk. All of them carry the same review link, so every review lands on the same Google profile.
How much does a Google review stand cost for a mobile shop?
Two products do this job at POP TAP, and the price includes the NFC chip programmed with your Google review link, the printed QR, your artwork and a proof you approve before anything is made.
| Product | Price | What it is | Where it goes in a mobile shop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Review Standee | ₹1,999 | Acrylic counter stand, NFC tap and printed QR | Billing counter, next to the card machine or UPI QR |
| Google Review Card | ₹999 | Credit-card-size PVC card, NFC tap and printed QR | Service and repair desk, accessories counter, or a floor-staff pocket |
These are one-time prices with nothing monthly. Shipping is free on orders of ₹999 and above and ₹99 below that, India only, and delivery is estimated at 2–5 working days after you approve the artwork proof. Prices on this page are POP TAP’s own prices, correct on 20 October 2026.
Google review stand ka price kitna hai?
Is a ₹1,999 stand worth it, or is a printed QR enough?
Be honest with yourself about your counter before you spend anything. All of these open the same Google review link; what changes is how the customer reaches it and how it looks.
| Option | Roughly what it costs | What you get | What you give up |
|---|---|---|---|
| QR printed and laminated at a local print shop | Under ₹100 | Works on any camera phone; replace it whenever you like | No tap; paper fades and curls; looks like a notice |
| Basic QR stand from a marketplace | ₹300–₹500 (checked October 2026; sellers change prices often) | A stand that holds the QR upright | Usually QR only, generic artwork, no proof before print |
| POP TAP Google Review Card | ₹999 | NFC tap and QR, your artwork, pocket-size | Someone has to hold it out; it is not visible on its own |
| POP TAP Google Review Standee | ₹1,999 | NFC tap and QR, your artwork, stands facing the customer all day | Costs the most; stays at one counter |
Bottom line: if money is tight, print a QR today and start asking. Buy the standee when you want the ask visible on the counter even on the days your staff forget, and when a curling paper QR would look wrong in your mobile shop. Either way, NFC does not bring reviews on its own. It removes the search-and-scroll steps, so more of the customers you actually ask finish the review. The asking is still the part that works, and that is free. We lay all three options out side by side in card vs standee vs QR sticker.
