Ask when the client sees the finished look in the mirror, then make reviewing a one-tap job at reception while they pay. A POP TAP review standee at reception and a review card at each station cover both moments. Ask every client the same way, and never give a discount or free service for a review.

Why do Google reviews decide which salon people walk into?

Choosing a salon is personal. People search “salon near me”, “bridal makeup in Jayanagar” or “men’s haircut near me”, then read reviews to find out who is good with curly hair, who runs late and who is gentle with a first-time client. Reviews that mention a stylist by name are especially useful, because new clients often book that person.

Most satisfied clients would happily write a line. They just leave without being asked, and by evening they have forgotten. A salon that asks every client, at the right moment, builds a steady stream of fresh reviews.

When is the best time to ask a salon client for a review?

The client feels best when they see the finished look in the mirror, turn their head and smile. That is the moment to ask. The second-best moment is a minute later, at reception, when they pay and book their next visit.

  • At the station. The stylist says one line and holds out a Google Review Card.
  • At reception. A Google Review Standee beside the billing machine catches everyone the stylist forgot to ask.
  • After long services. For bridal makeup, keratin or colour sessions that run for hours, a WhatsApp message the next day with your review link works well, because the client has had time to see the result.

Do not put the stand in the waiting area. Clients there have not had their service yet, so there is nothing to review.

Should you ask clients to add a photo to the review?

Google lets reviewers add photos. A review with a picture of a fresh cut or a bridal look tells new clients more than any rating. You can mention it gently: “If you like, add a photo of your new look.” Never pressure anyone, and ask permission before you photograph a client yourself, even for your own Instagram.

What should the stylist say?

English

“You look great! If you are happy with it, a quick Google review would really help me. Just tap your phone on this card.”

Hindi

“बहुत अच्छा लग रहा है! अगर आपको पसंद आया, तो Google पर एक review दे दीजिए। बस अपना फ़ोन इस कार्ड पर टच कीजिए।”

Hinglish

“Look achha laga? Toh ek Google review de dijiye, mere naam ke saath. Bas phone yahan tap karna hai.”

Can a salon give a discount on the next visit for a review?

No. These are the rules that matter, and breaking them can get reviews removed or the profile restricted.

  • No free service, discount or product for a review. Google forbids any reward for reviews.
  • Ask every client the same way. Do not ask only the ones who look happy.
  • Stylists should not review the salon or each other, and neither should their friends or family.

Which POP TAP product should a salon buy?

Google Review Standee, ₹1,999 at reception, facing the client while they pay. Google Review Card, ₹999 for each stylist to keep at their station. A Booking Standee (₹1,999) at reception can open your appointment page so clients book their next visit in one tap, and an Instagram Card (₹999) shares your work portfolio. All carry an NFC chip and a printed QR.

How much does a Google review stand cost for a salon?

Two products do this job at POP TAP, and the price includes the NFC chip programmed with your Google review link, the printed QR, your artwork and a proof you approve before anything is made.

ProductPriceWhat it isWhere it goes in a salon
Google Review Standee₹1,999Acrylic counter stand, NFC tap and printed QRReception, beside the billing machine, facing the client
Google Review Card₹999Credit-card-size PVC card, NFC tap and printed QROne per stylist, kept at their station for the mirror moment

These are one-time prices with nothing monthly. Shipping is free on orders of ₹999 and above and ₹99 below that, India only, and delivery is estimated at 2–5 working days after you approve the artwork proof. Prices on this page are POP TAP’s own prices, correct on 20 October 2026.

Google review stand ka price kitna hai?

Is a ₹1,999 stand worth it, or is a printed QR enough?

Be honest with yourself about your counter before you spend anything. All of these open the same Google review link; what changes is how the customer reaches it and how it looks.

OptionRoughly what it costsWhat you getWhat you give up
QR printed and laminated at a local print shopUnder ₹100Works on any camera phone; replace it whenever you likeNo tap; paper fades and curls; looks like a notice
Basic QR stand from a marketplace₹300–₹500 (checked October 2026; sellers change prices often)A stand that holds the QR uprightUsually QR only, generic artwork, no proof before print
POP TAP Google Review Card₹999NFC tap and QR, your artwork, pocket-sizeSomeone has to hold it out; it is not visible on its own
POP TAP Google Review Standee₹1,999NFC tap and QR, your artwork, stands facing the customer all dayCosts the most; stays at one counter

Bottom line: if money is tight, print a QR today and start asking. Buy the standee when you want the ask visible on the counter even on the days your staff forget, and when a curling paper QR would look wrong in your salon. Either way, NFC does not bring reviews on its own. It removes the search-and-scroll steps, so more of the customers you actually ask finish the review. The asking is still the part that works, and that is free. We lay all three options out side by side in card vs standee vs QR sticker.

When a review names a stylist, reply and thank them by name too. It shows that real people work in your salon. If a review is unhappy, apologise, avoid arguing in public and invite the client back to fix it.
